EUROMIL NOTIZIE
Le organizzazioni Europee delle Associazioni Militari (EuroMIL) e' un associazione libera indipendente, no profit NGO non governativa di organizzazioni democratiche che rappresentano l'interesse sociale e professionale del personale militare a livello Europeo. EuroMIL e' stata fondata nel 1972 e comprende al momemnto 35 organizzazioni da 22 paesi che rappresentano vicinamemnte 500.000 individui. Immediatamente dopo la fine della Guerra Fredda EUROMIL ha aperto le sue porte per le associazioni militari dell'Europa Centrale e dell'est.
Tutte le associazioni che sono membri di EUROMIL si considerano impegante al principio del cittadino in uniforme. In accordo con questo modello uomini al servizio in principio hanno gli stessi diritti e obblighi come ogni altro cittadino. Un uomo al servizio, che protegge e difende i diritti e le liberta dei cittadini- anche al di fuori dei suoi confini nazionali - deve essere autorizzato per godere e percepire questi stessi diritti di liberta' nel servizio. Questi principi richiedono azione dagli stati: la rimozione di tutte le restrizionoi sui diritti sociali e civili che non risultano inevitabilmente dall'assegnazione militare.
The European Organisation of Military Associations (EUROMIL) is a politically and religiously independent, non-profit NGO of free, democratic associations representing the social and professional interests of military personnel on a European level. Founded in 1972 EUROMIL comprises at present 35 member associations from 22 countries representing nearly 500.000 individuals. Immediately after the end of the East-West conflict EUROMIL opened its doors for military associations from Central and Eastern Europe....
All the member associations of EUROMIL consider themselves committed to the principle of the Citizen in Uniform. In accordance with this model servicemen in principle have the same rights and obligations as any other citizen. A serviceman, who is to protect and defend the rights and freedoms of his fellow citizens - even outside his own national territory – must be entitled to enjoy and perceive these same rights and freedoms in service. This principle requires action by states: the removal of all restrictions on civil and social rights which do not inevitably result from the military assignment.
